Lately I've been seeing a lot of art theft around. It is very disappointing seeing your own work that someone else posted on another image hosting sites. First there was some issues with Photobucket. Now I was just browsing tinypic.com and found a few images I've seen here on dA. Just want everyone to be aware and I want to look out for you guys, that's all (whether you are the one who uploaded them yourself or not). Are any of these yours? [link]

OMFG! That is awful! Greedy bastards are too lazy to make their own work, so they think they can just go and steal other people's works!? *Takes out two chainsaws and revs them up* I WILL BE THE ONE TO TAKE THEM ON! THEY ARE PLAGIARIZING! LETS BAN TOGETHER AND STOP THESE ART THIEVES!

I agree with you though, that is so evil, taking someone else's work...to those who had their artwork stolen, I am sorry.

Yeh, I know. I think what I'll be doing from now is add the watermark to every piece of artwork. It should somewhat protect it.

i have noticed a whole lot of newbies on d.a. that submit art that isnt theirs, i have told a few of them in a note that you cant do that and to read the submission guidelines, it seems like every day i see another new member doing it..

The worst thing is art stoling is that most of the thieves doesn't really understand that they are doing something wrong... and they are more and more everyday! :?

You were pretty close with the 10000 pagview. Sorry you didn't quite get it. I am waiting to find out who has my 10,000 screenshot. Thanks for trying :hug:

With the art thieves thing, I hope they will understand that it is wrong to take other's art and that they must contact the artist for permission if they want to use it.
